Natural Populations and Genetic Polymorphism in Tetrahymena thermophila

The two parts of this web site are devoted to the study of natural populations of the ciliate T. thermophila. The first part summarizes studies on its life cycle and natural history. The second part is devoted to the analysis of genetic polymorphisms and the inferences that may be drawn regarding population biology and gene evolution.
