Dr. Saunders is the founding Dean of the College of Science. Her administrative interests are in fostering the educational, research, and service functions of the College, its Departments, and its faculty. Formerly, Dr. Saunders was Director of the Biomedical and Health Institute.
Dr. Saunders scientific expertise is in the area of plant cell biology, especially cell division and nuclear lamin proteins.
